Haynes Boone Advises Chesapeake Energy on $1.4B Sale of Eagle Ford Assets to INEOS Energy

Haynes Boone served as lead counsel to Chesapeake Energy Corporation in the sale of a portion of Chesapeake Energy’s oil and gas assets in the Eagle Ford shale, south Texas for $1.4 billion.

The sale, announced Feb. 21, 2023, involved approximately 172,000 net acres and approximately 2,300 wells in the black oil portion of its Eagle Ford asset, primarily in Dimmit, LaSalle and McMullen counties.
