Patexia Inc., a publisher of analysis and data-driven rankings about the intellectual property sector, has ranked Haynes Boone one of the nation’s leading patent prosecution firms.
In Patexia’s 2023 Patent Prosecution Intelligence Report, Haynes Boone ranked as the fourth “best performing” patent prosecution firm in the high-tech sector and the sixth “best performing” firm overall, spanning all industries.
In measuring performance, Patexia considers how active and successful firms are in filing patent applications and obtaining patents or patent claims, along with the speed and efficiency of firms in obtaining a patent. The 2023 Intelligence Report is based on an analysis of patent activity from January 2018 through December 2022, during which the USPTO issued 1,846,457 patents and published 2,014,904 applications.
In its review of more than 30,000 registered patent practitioners, Patexia’s 2023 Intelligence Report also singled out Haynes Boone lawyers for recognition:
- For the second consecutive year, David O’Dell, chair of the firm’s Patent Prosecution and Counseling Practice Group, ranked in the top 10 patent attorneys. For 2023, David ranked as the nation’s fourth best performing lawyer in high tech and as the sixth best performing lawyer overall.
