Martha Wyrick Joins Dallas Bar Association’s WE LEAD Program

January 14, 2025

The Dallas Bar Association has offered Haynes Boone Associate Martha Wyrick a place in its WE LEAD program. The leadership program was created to “address the unique challenges facing women in the legal profession; to empower, educate and uplift women lawyers to take an already successful law practice to new heights; and to prepare lawyers for active professional leadership within their law firm, the business community and the community at large.”

The program includes joining a small mentoring circle with senior female lawyers and DBA WE LEAD alumni, allowing members to communicate regularly for advice, support and guidance. Members will attend four educational sessions on networking and strength finding, working as an inside counsel vs. outside counsel, neuroscience as it affects corporate legal work and communication.

“I am incredibly honored and excited to join this leadership program,” said Wyrick. “I can’t thank my Haynes Boone mentors enough for encouraging and supporting me to do this program. WE LEAD is such a great opportunity to grow my leadership knowledge while gaining strong female mentors in the legal field.”

Wyrick is an associate in the Restructuring Practice Group in the firm’s Dallas office. She started her practice in Haynes Boone’s Houston office and maintains strong ties to the bankruptcy bar in Houston and across the state. Wyrick’s practice focuses on all areas of restructuring, including in- and out-of-court workouts, bankruptcy litigation, counterparty insolvency and risk management, distressed M&A, lender representation, creditor representation and Chapter 11 debtor representation. She has represented clients in a broad range of industries including oil and gas, energy, construction and retail.
