Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner John McGowan led a team that represented Capitol Services, LLC in securing an investment from Clearview Capital Fund IV, L.P and its affiliates. The transaction closed in April 2023.
Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Austin, TX, Capitol Services is a tech-enabled provider of outsourced legal and compliance services. Clearview has a proven track record of helping entrepreneurial, service-oriented businesses achieve significant growth and longstanding success.
“Clearview’s cultural fit with Capitol Services ensures that we not only have the capital and support we need, but that we also have a partner that shares our passion for both our clients and employees,” Capitol Services said in an announcement.
Clearview said the transaction provides an opportunity for Capitol Services’ founders, John Robinson and Cheryl Roberts, to retire and transition leadership of the business to the senior management team.
A partner in Haynes Boone’s Corporate Practice Group, McGowan has more than 10 years of experience in acquisitions, divestitures, securities transactions and other complex corporate matters. He was assisted in the transaction by:
