Biography
Abby Johanson is a real estate transactional attorney in Haynes Boone’s San Antonio office. Abby represents purchasers, sellers, borrowers, developers, investors, landlords and tenants in a wide range of complex commercial real estate transactions including the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, managment and financing of retail, industrial, office, mixed-use and unimproved properties. Abby has extensive experience representing buyers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of convenience stores, office and industrial buildings.
A substantial portion of Abby’s practice consists of representing both landlords and tenants in the negotiation of complex industrial, office and retail leases, including leases of large, multi-story office buildings, and retail leases with local and national tenants.

- Representation of a landlord in the leasing of office and retail space in a building complex containing over 260,000 rentable square feet in San Antonio.
- Representation of an institutional fund in the disposition of a student housing portfolio of 27 apartment projects in 18 states.
- Representation of a Fortune 100 company in the leasing of retail spaces across the U.S.
- Representation of a pension fund in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of a portfolio of numerous fund-owned office buildings in Texas.
- Representation of an institutional fund in the acquisition, disposition and management of student housing apartment projects across the country.
