Haynes Boone Managing Partner Taylor Wilson was quoted in an article in The American Lawyer after Haynes Boone and other Am Law 200 firms have reduced their overall office footprints in part to reduce costs and shed surplus space.
Wilson said the goal is creating offices that use space efficiently. The new Dallas office is a good example of that, he said, as the space has less total square footage, but the same number of individual offices as before. That’s not the case everywhere, such as in Charlotte, he said, where the firm is growing significantly and the new space is larger.
However, Wilson said, the firm has intentionally used many of the same design elements in the new office locations, including daylight and neutral colors, “which we have found are important to our culture and bringing people together.”
