With the constant evolution of technology, it is hard to gauge the extent to which artificial intelligence will transform business practices. Haynes Boone Partner Dina Blikshteyn spoke to Managing IP estimating the timeline for integrating AI with everyday business practices.
Blikshteyn told Managing IP that when it comes to application drafting, she expects it will take one to two years to see whether tools will take off and become part of everyday practice.
"Along with deciding whether the tools are good, and do not [cause] confidentially and disclosure risks, firms will also be doing a cost/benefit analysis to see if it makes sense to use them," she says.
"Five years may be too long, as I already see clients asking for ways they can use generative AI tools to improve efficiency and lower costs."
