Biography

Viola Rose Mercer is an attorney in the Real Estate Practice Group in Haynes Boone’s Dallas office.

Her practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions and finance matters, including loan originations with commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and commercial real estate collateralized loan obligations (CRE CLO).

In the community, Rose volunteers as an intern tutor for a nonprofit focused on helping justice-involved youth through a restaurant internship program considered the new model for juvenile justice. She also volunteers with North Texas Master Naturalists. Before entering law school, she held various leadership roles with a number of environmental nonprofit organizations. While in law school, Rose served as a community engagement partner liaison with a nonprofit dedicated to empowering families to feed themselves through cultivating community gardens and preparing meals. In this role, she coordinated law student volunteers for dig-in-the-dirt workdays distributing produce to neighbors.
