Maggie Gunn Gay
Biography
Maggie Gunn Gay is an associate in the Investment Management Practice Group in Haynes Boone’s Austin office.
Maggie’s practice focuses on private equity and hedge fund formation and investments, investment management agreements, and corporate compliance and governance. Maggie assists investment funds, investment advisors, and commodity pool operators and traders with formation, organization, and operation of both hedge funds and private equity funds and their compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
Maggie graduated from The University of Texas School of Law where she served as a Dean’s Fellow during her 2L and 3L years.
Prior to joining Haynes Boone, Maggie taught middle school English and trained teachers as a Teach for America Corps Member in Houston, Texas. In recognition of her leadership and contributions to the University of Texas, she was inducted into the Friar Society and received the Texas Parents’ Association Most Outstanding Student Award in 2012.
