Haynes Boone reinforced its position as a global leader in patent litigation, ranking among the most active and successful patent litigation firms in the world, according to the latest rankings by Patexia, Inc.
To compile its annual report, the intellectual property platform reviewed thousands of cases from the past five years.
Haynes Boone ranked in the top 4 percent of all law firms handling patent cases, which is a jump up from its top 8 percent ranking last year.
According to Patexia’s comprehensive review, Haynes Boone has a higher win percentage in patent litigation than 19 of AmLaw 100’s top 20 firms.
Notably, Haynes Boone ranked as a top 50 most active firm out of more than 3,600 firms reviewed and had a 94.97% performance score, a measure that combines the firm’s winning percentage with the number of cases it handles.
Both Russ Emerson and Stephanie Sivinski received individual recognition on the annual top performers list.
"We’re pleased Patexia’s rankings have placed us as a leader in patent litigation,” said Haynes Partner Jason Bloom, chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice. “Our consistent climb reflects the depth and effectiveness of our team and our position as a trusted advisor and advocate for innovators across the globe.”
Patexia noted the Western District of Texas has become a preferred location for patent litigation. Haynes Boone’s large presence and roots in the state position the firm to be a go-to advocate in future disputes.
Haynes Boone’s Chambers-ranked Intellectual Property Practice Group features highly regarded national patent litigation teams, distinguished by their commitment to getting the best possible results for clients. The team includes first-chair trial lawyers and experienced patent lawyers with the specific technical background needed to give clients a strategic advantage.
