Haynes Boone Named 2022 Best Place for Working Parents

Haynes Boone has been named a 2022 Best Place for Working Parents, a designation awarded to businesses that are leading the way in family friendly policies.

In determining which workplaces qualify for a “Best Place for Working Parents” designation, the
Best Place for Working Parents organization looks at policies such as parental leave, paid time off, flexible hours and remote work that support families. As the organization notes on its website, “[N]ational research tells us that there is a serious business case to being family friendly. Compared to their competitors, great workplaces win when it comes to revenue growth, employee retention, productivity, innovation, resilience, agility, customer service, and employee engagement.”

Haynes Boone’s designation is a result of the firm’s overall efforts to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for lawyers and staff. The driving force behind the firm’s DEI efforts is the Attorney Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (ADEIC) and the related Inclusion Networks, comprising partners, associates, counsel, and key members of management. The ADEIC sets goals for the firm’s policies and programs related to the recruitment, retention, promotion, and professional development of diverse lawyers, including the next generation of diverse lawyers the firm hopes to recruit to the legal profession.

The firm’s Working Parents and Caregivers Inclusion Network strives to improve retention and recruitment of working parents and caregivers while identifying and advocating for policies and programs to maintain the firm’s family friendly culture. The Working Parents and Caregivers Inclusion Network focuses on providing resources and support for working parents and other caregivers, particularly during the recent COVID-related challenges.
