Steven Koch is a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group in Haynes and Boone's New York office. He focuses his practice in real estate law. He has closed many large, complex transactions for a variety of clients, including financial institutions, venture funds and private developers. He has been involved in joint ventures, multi-state lending, loan workouts, development work, sale-leaseback transactions, the purchase and sale of real property and loans, and construction contracting.

For the past 20 years, Steven's primary focus has been in closing or buying subordinate debt positions such as mezzanine loans, B Notes, junior participations and preferred equity investments, on behalf of a variety of institutions.
