Kalyani Joshi
Biography
Kalyani Joshi is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Her practice focuses on patent prosecution, post-grant proceedings, and patent counseling.
Kalyani’s technical experience covers a wide variety of technologies, and is centered on the growing intersection of life sciences and technology industries. She uses her chemical engineering degree and software experience to focus on innovations in bioinformatics, genomic sequencing, cellular therapeutics, immuno-oncology, diagnostic assay systems, artificial intelligence (AI-based disease diagnosis/management, AI-based treatment development, etc.), virtual reality, open-source software, and wireless communications.
Kalyani also assists clients with IP due diligence and drafting IP agreements, including licenses and confidentiality agreements.
Prior to law school, Kalyani worked as a consultant at a software company specializing in data management platforms in a variety of industrial operations. She also has research experience in transgenic plant biology and CRISPR-Cas systems in bacteriophage therapies.
