Biography
Nick Heap is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in Haynes Boone's London office.
Nick focuses on equity capital markets transactions and advises clients on a broad array of corporate finance transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary fundraisings, corporate reorganisations, as well as public (including Takeover Code offers and defences) and private M&A.
Nick works with issuers, sponsors/nomads and investment banks/brokers on transactions across all London markets, including the Main Market, AIM and AQUIS. He has particular experience in advising clients operating in the natural resources, life sciences and healthcare, and technology sectors.
He has previously worked at a city firm of brokers where he spent nine months on secondment in the corporate finance department, which provided him with valuable insight into the workings of corporate finance.

- Advising Tungsten West PLC on its IPO on AIM and associated £39m fundraising, as well as a secondary offering of up to £7m secured convertible loan notes to institutional and other investors.
- Advising Canaccord Genuity and WH Ireland on a secondary fundraising for Anglesey Mining PLC, an AIM quoted company.
- Advising on Altona Rare Earths PLC’s move from the AQUIS Growth Market to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.
- Advising Nplus1 Singer and Stifel Nicolaus on a £58m Class 1 Disposal of Findel Education by Studio Retail Group PLC to a consortium of Local Authorities.
- Advising AQSE Growth Market listed Silverwood Brands PLC on its £18m acquisition of the Sonotas Corporation, a Japanese cosmetic brand group of companies.
Some of these representations were handled by Nick prior to joining Haynes Boone.
