Biography
Michael is an associate in the Real Estate group at Haynes Boone, where he represents developers, private equity firms, family offices, REITs, and institutional investors with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions across asset classes including industrial, multifamily, retail, and office properties.
Before relocating to Dallas, Michael practiced at a leading Canadian corporate law firm in Toronto, where he represented premier developers and global institutional clients in large-scale commercial transactions and real estate development matters.
With extensive legal experience in both the United States and Canadian real estate markets, Michael offers clients a strategic, cross-border perspective and a practical, solutions-oriented approach to complex real estate projects.

- Represented a leading national real estate investment and development company with the $2 billion sale of a portfolio of 25 operating and build-to-suit industrial distribution centers throughout the United States.
- Represented a private equity real estate firm in a joint venture with a global investment firm in connection with the creation of a US-Mexico cross border supply chain venture, including industrial build to-suit facilities and operational structuring.
- Negotiated a multi-layered redevelopment agreement, ground lease and related agreements on behalf of a leading developer for parcels of land surrounding a major professional sports arena.
