Biography
Robert Bines-Black is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in Haynes Boone's London office.
Robert has extensive experience in equity capital markets transactions and both public and private M&A, having led a wide variety of equity fundraisings, public company flotations, takeovers and reorganizations. In addition to advising a wealth of U.K. clients, he has acted on a range of cross-border listings in London for U.S., Canadian and Australian companies, with particular sector focus on natural resources, renewables, healthcare and tech.
His role on the advisor panel of Aquis, the U.K.’s challenger stock exchange, and deep knowledge of AIM and Main Market-listed companies, make him a trusted advisor across the space.

- Leading international listings and IPOs on both the Main Market and AIM, including the listing of a C$6 billion market cap Canadian company, a US$400 million market cap resource US company and a cybersecurity company.
- Acting on reverse takeovers, including for the sellers of a sustainable building solutions company.
- Advising on a wide range of secondary fundraisings, acting for both company and advisers. This includes advising on equity fundraisings of £90 million for a transitional energy client and £40 million for a renewable energy client in a series of placings between 2021 and 2024.
- Advising on Rule 9 waivers, tender offers, convertible loan note issuances, shareholder requisitions and corporate reorganizations.
- M&A experience includes acting on both buy and sale side on a number of share and asset purchases.
