Biography

Spencer Bateman is an associate in the Private Equity Practice Group in the Dallas office of Haynes Boone. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, capital markets and securities, and other commercial transactions.

During law school, Spencer served as an Article Editor for the Harvard International Law Journal. Passionate about economic development and opportunity, Spencer served as Co-President of the Harvard Law and International Development Society, Projects Director for the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project, and as a Research Assistant for the Harvard Center for International Development Growth Lab. Spencer also worked as a student attorney with the Harvard International Human Rights Clinic.

  • Represented Karman Space & Defense, a portfolio company of Trive Capital, in multiple acquisitions involving, among others, Systima Technologies.
  • Represented Trive Capital, in its acquisition of Forward Slope Incorporated, a leading independent provider of mission-critical software and surveillance solutions for the defense industry, and further represented Forward Slope Incorporated in multiple add-on acquisitions involving, among others, Hypergiant Industries and Soar Technology.
  • Represented Trive Capital, LLC in connection with its investment in Kittyhawk, Inc., a leading provider of Hot Isostatic Pressing services for a variety of industries including space, commercial aerospace, defense, and medical applications.
  • Represented Aggreko, a global supplier of mobile and modular power temperature control equipment and energy services, in its acquisition of Resolute Industrial, a leading provider of specialized temporary heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration solutions, from AE Industrial Partners.
  • Represented SRS Distribution, Inc. in connection with various asset acquisition transactions.
  • Represented Blackmon Mooring in connection with multiple acquisitions, including, among others, Drymaster Restoration and Highland Construction.
  • Represented Specialty Packaging, Inc., a Texas-based manufacturer of specialty paper, film and foil packaging products for the fast food and food service industries, in its sale to ProAmpac.
