The Fund Finance Association (FFA) has recognized Haynes Boone Associate Robin Ladd as a 2022 DEI Emerging Leader. She is one of two DEI Emerging Leader honorees this year.
The FFA judged the candidates on their contributions to further diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts in the fund finance market, the workplace, and the broader community. The recipients “are actively paving a way for a better future for those entering the workforce behind them. We would like to take this opportunity to say keep up the good work, our industry is better because you are in it,” the FFA stated in its announcement.
Robin is a member of the firm’s Finance Practice Group in Dallas, representing both borrowers and lenders in a variety of transactions. Her practice focuses on subscription secured finance, acquisition financing and syndicated credit facilities.
Robin is also an advocate for DEI at the firm and in the broader legal community. She is co-chair of Haynes Boone’s Black/African-American Attorneys Inclusion Network and the Project Unity Committee. Project Unity is a collaborative effort of programming and events with faith, business, civic, philanthropic, grassroots and government entities in Dallas. Haynes Boone hosts a Together We Dine event in partnership with Project Unity, giving lawyers a chance to engage in courageous and safe conversations about race relations. Robin is currently working on a Together We Dine event for Black History Month in February.
In 2020, Robin was selected as a participant in the Legal Diversity (LCLD) Pathfinder Program, designed to prepare diverse young lawyers for leadership roles in the profession. She is also heavily involved in the firm’s recruiting efforts and routinely participates in diversity panels and recruiting events.
