Haynes Boone Partner Patricia Mastropierro has been named in Latinvex’s 11th-annual ranking of the top 100 female lawyers specializing in Latin America among international law firms. Patricia is ranked in two practice areas: Corporate/M&A and Aviation.
Latinvex’s editorial and research staff looked at nearly 100 law firms and chose 100 attorneys from 62 different firms based in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and The Cayman Islands.
“Patricia is the person I always want on my team,” Haynes Boone Partner Susan Wetzel said. “She provides practical, business-minded advice with a positive, can-do attitude. Patricia prioritizes the clients’ goals and needs, staying calm no matter how stressful the situation, and we are blessed to have her at Haynes Boone.“
The criteria for selection included a combination of factors, including recent track record on major deals and business, prominence of firm in Latin America and other rankings. Research was based on data provided to Latinvex by the firms, publicly available data from the firms, M&A data from Refinitiv as well as third-party recognitions from Chambers, Legal 500 and others.
A member of Haynes Boone’s International Practice Group, Patricia has been included in Latinvex’s Top 100 list for seven years. She has significant experience in international aviation matters, having advised airlines in a range of international legal matters, including setting up and maintaining operations abroad, obtaining applicable permits, airport authorizations and slots in foreign jurisdictions.
For several years, Patricia has represented one of the biggest U.S. airlines and its regional airlines in more than 45 jurisdictions worldwide. She has worked for more than 15 years on their international projects, including in the areas of commercial transactions and regulatory, aviation and litigation matters. Key recent work also includes representation of a cargo airline in starting up operations to the new airport in Mexico City and of a passenger airline in starting up operations to the British Virgin Islands and to several cities in Mexico.
