The National Law Journal (NLJ) has named Haynes Boone to its Appellate Hot List. This year’s report features an elite group of lawyers and law firms that posted hard-fought wins at the U.S. Supreme Court or in federal circuit courts.
The recognition is part of the NLJ’s Legal Awards 2022, which recognize the top litigation and appellate work from the past year. All winners will be announced at an awards event on Oct. 20 in Washington, D.C.

In June, the practice received the highest ranking in Texas in Chambers USA (Chambers and Partners), as one of only three firms with a Band 1 rating in Texas in the 2022 directory. It has earned recognition through decades of dedication to clients and collaborative work with trial lawyers, by earning the respect of judges across the country, and by precedent-making victories in bet-the-company appeals.
The firm also has one of the nation’s leading and most active practices before the U.S. Supreme Court.

He has consistently had success against elite appellate groups at Am Law 20 firms, and was named one of Law360’s 2019 “Appellate MVPs,” an honor awarded to only four lawyers in the United States.
