Haynes Boone won a top award at the 23rd Annual M&A Advisor Awards for the firm’s work on a billion-dollar acquisition.
The firm won the M&A Deal of the Year ($1B-$10B) category for representing Avantax, Inc. in its $1.2 billion take-private sale to Cetera Financial Group, Inc.

A Haynes Boone team advised Dallas-based Avantax in an all-cash transaction involving 3,078 financial professionals representing $83.8 billion in assets under administration and $42.6 billion in assets under management. Close to 20 other Haynes Boone lawyers from Texas and New York assisted as part of the cross-functional team.
