Haynes Boone earned the honor of Best Corporate Practice (Specialty – Midmarket) at The American Lawyer’s 2024 Industry Awards on Nov. 13 in New York City.
Capital Markets and Securities Co-Chair Rick Werner and Partner Alla Digilova were on hand to receive the award on behalf of the business transactions department and firm.
“This recognition is a testament to the exceptionally hard work we as a group put in every day,” Werner said. “We thank The American Lawyer for recognizing the pride we take in delivering innovative, business-focused solutions to our clients.”
Among Haynes Boone’s many accomplishments that contributed to this award are its role in Callon Petroleum Company’s $475 million Delaware Basin acquisition and $655 million Eagle Ford divestiture, as well as the firm’s representation of Avantax, Inc. in its $720 million sale of TaxAct to Cinven, Ltd. and its $1.2 billion take-private sale to Cetera.
In the capital markets space, Haynes Boone advised BiomX Inc. on a $50 million private placement financing and ranked among the top firms in The Deal’s PIPE Legal Table Report, reinforcing its standing in high-stakes securities work.
The American Lawyer receives hundreds of nominations annually for its Industry Awards, calling this year’s honorees “an extremely crowded and competitive field.” The winners, according to ALM, “often set benchmarks for others to follow and contribute significantly to the advancement of the legal profession in the United States.”
This continues a string of accolades for Haynes Boone’s corporate lawyers, following four attorneys being named to the Lawdragon 500 2025 Leading Dealmakers list last month and two Deal of the Year awards from D CEO in May.
