Haynes Boone successfully represented Unified Patents before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, securing a significant ruling that affirmed the Patent Trial and Appeal Board’s (PTAB) decision invalidating 29 out of 31 claims of a patent asserted by Gesture Technology Partners LLC.
The ruling marks another success for Unified Patents in its efforts to combat low-quality patents used in litigation. Unified Patents General Counsel Jonathan Stroud praised the work of the Haynes Boone team in earning this victory.
"Debbie McComas and Angela Oliver of Haynes Boone and their team are incredible, and our in-house team did an amazing job on this appeal,” Stroud told Law360. “The merits speak for themselves. We are lucky to have them."
