Haynes and Boone Moves to State-of-the-Art Office in Plano

December 14, 2020

Haynes Boone has relocated its Dallas–North office to a new building in the Legacy West development, about 25 miles north of downtown Dallas.

In 1997, Haynes Boone opened an office on the north side of Dallas to better serve the growing number of technology companies opening offices there. The firm has continued to grow its intellectual property and technology practices in this high-tech corridor, culminating in its new Plano location.

“We have found an ideal home base for our Dallas–North office,” said Dustin Johnson, administrative partner of the office. “This move positions Haynes Boone to better serve our clients throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, even as we continue to expand our national and international clientele.”

The new office boasts modern amenities, including an open floor plan and a configurable meeting space, allowing Haynes Boone to better host clients and members of the local corporate community for seminars and other events. The office has a smaller foot-print than Haynes Boone’s prior Dallas–North location, achieved as a result of the firm’s migration to a paperless environment and creative space utilization throughout the office.

Haynes Boone’s move to the Legacy West development follows the firm’s recent announcement that it will relocate its Dallas office in the fourth quarter of 2023 to a newly built tower.

The firm also recently opened a San Francisco office to serve clients in the intellectual property and emerging technologies sectors.

“Our growth this year reflects both our optimism about the strength of the Dallas market and our commitment to meet our clients’ growing demand for our services in all the markets where we do business,” said Haynes Boone Managing Partner Tim Powers.

Haynes Boone's Dallas–North office is home to a large group of IP patent practice professionals, along with corporate, security and technology law professionals. The Dallas–North professionals are prepared to handle any type of IP or technology law challenge. With degrees and experience in many different technology disciplines, the lawyer-engineers are qualified to help tech companies of any size in nearly every industry. The lawyers work in the areas of medical devices, software, computer architecture, telecommunications, semiconductor processing, oil and gas, artificial intelligence (AI), and many others. They also work with both mature companies and startups to design solutions for their unique business problems.

Haynes Boone is an international corporate law firm with offices in Texas, New York, California, Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, Washington, D.C., London, Mexico City and Shanghai, providing a full spectrum of legal services in energy, technology, financial services and private equity.
