An International Transactions team from Haynes Boone represented Forefront Medical Investment Pte Ltd., a subsidiary of a company listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX), in the negotiation of a lease for a new manufacturing facility in Mexico. The facility is a new 68,000-square-foot building in Juarez and will be Forefront Medical’s fifth medical devices contract manufacturing plant.
The Haynes Boone team representing Forefront Medical included Partners Larry Pascal and Edgar Klee, Counsels Cesar Ramirez Del Angel and Mauricio Reynoso, and Associate Fernanda Ruizesparza.
“We are honored to have advised Forefront Medical on their expansion into Mexico,” Larry said. “We hope that the new space in Juarez will provide an optimal environment for the company's growth and prosperity in their new market.”
Forefront Medical has two major manufacturing facilities in China, one in Singapore, and one in the United Kingdom. With the addition of the Mexican facility, Forefront Medical will have manufacturing operations in Asia, Europe and the Americas. Their parent company, Vicplas International Ltd., is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
The new plant will be fitted to meet the company’s requirements and include certified cleanrooms for molding and assembly operations. The plant will be managed and operated to provide the manufacturing quality standards currently expected and provided to Forefront Medical customers. It is targeted to be operational in the second half of 2024.
