D Magazine has included Partners Mike Boone, Deborah Coldwell and Greg Samuel and Senior Counsel Nina Cortell in its Hall of Fame, which honors professionals who have been named to the magazine’s annual “Best Lawyers of Dallas” directory for more than 15 years. They are among only 50 lawyers inducted into the 2022 Hall of Fame.
To compile the Best Lawyers list, editors first call for peer nominations of lawyers both within and outside of their own firms whom they have witnessed firsthand and “would rank among the current best.” All nominations are then evaluated by a panel of eminent Dallas-area lawyers and D Magazine editors before the final list is generated.

Mike, one of the co-founders of the firm, has been named a D Best and one of the "most influential leaders in North Texas" for a number of years. Mike has more than 40 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities transactions, and board of director representations. He is recognized by Chambers USA, Chambers and Partners, 2016-2021, as one of the leading practitioners in Texas for Corporate/M&A.
Deb has been named a D Best 17 years. She represents franchisors, distributors, joint ventures, limited liability companies, partnerships and the individuals who run those companies in jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations. She has litigated across several industries – from hotels and restaurants to health clubs and tax preparation services to product and service-based franchise and distribution networks. She is nationally ranked in Band 1 by Chambers USA, Chambers and Partners, 2009-2021 in the franchise law category. Deb also has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America (Woodward/White, Inc.) for franchise law, 2007-2022.
Greg has been named a D Best 16 years. He has more than 35 years of experience advising both public and private companies in the areas of corporate securities and mergers and acquisitions.
