Haynes Boone is delighted to announce the addition of M&A, Venture Capital and Corporate Partner Martin Florman to the firm’s expanding Orange County office. Martin joins directly from Buchalter, where he spent more than 16 years in management.
The Orange County native, with more than 30 years of experience, represents global, middle market and emerging growth companies in general corporate matters, finance, mergers and acquisitions, complex corporate restructuring matters and intellectual property transactional matters. His clients are wide-ranging, including health care companies, music and technology companies, and insurance agencies and brokers.
"I am extremely excited to bring my experience to Haynes Boone, contributing to their national practice and abundant work in the communities around their offices,” Martin said. “The firm has an incredible track record of working together on cross-disciplinary teams, and I am thrilled to be able to add to the firm’s growth and success."
At Buchalter, Martin was a member of the firm’s board of directors and was the managing shareholder of its Orange County office. He was also the co-chair of the recruiting committee, a member and former co-chair of the strategic planning committee, and sat on or chaired a number of other committees. In addition to his contributions at Buchalter, Martin is the former chair of the Business and Corporate Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association and a former member of the board of directors of the Volunteer Center of Orange County and the Volunteer Network OC. For 20 years, Martin was an adjunct professor teaching business planning at Chapman University School of Law.
Martin is the fourth partner to join Haynes Boone’s growing Orange County office since September, and the second to join the firm in the last month after Paul Tobin joined in early January. Litigators Elizabeth Weldon and Kevin Crisp joined the firm late last year, growing Haynes Boone’s influence in Southern California.
