Haynes Boone Associate Colin Giuseppe Cox has been selected one of the 40 Best Lawyers Under 40 by the Miami-Dade Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section.
Chosen by a group of leading legal professionals in Miami after an extensive review process, the 40 Under 40 honorees are recognized for their professional achievements and leadership, commitment to community and service, and strong reputation among their peers.

Colin is a member of Haynes Boone’s International Practice Group and is licensed to practice in both Florida and Texas. He is a member of the board of the Miami-Dade Bar Association and co-chair of its International Law Committee.
“Colin is a rising star in the international corporate bar and is richly deserving of this honor,” said Haynes Boone Partner Alberto de la Peña, co-chair of the firm’s International Practice Group.
The Miami-Dade Bar’s Young Lawyer Section will honor Colin at its Miami Nights ceremony on Feb. 23, 2023.
Colin’s practice focuses on international corporate matters and cross-border projects, including cross-border investments, financing, project development, and negotiations. He regularly helps clients in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and capital market transactions, and he has particular expertise with projects involving Latin America and Europe. Colin has lived and worked extensively in both regions and speaks French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Additionally, he also represents clients before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and helps them assess whether CFIUS has jurisdiction over their transactions.
Colin also serves as both a council member and vice chair of the International Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association and is also a council member of the International Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. He also serves as the secretary and treasurer of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and is a member of the National Italian American Bar Association.
Haynes Boone has a long history of lawyers who are active in international law at the state and national levels.
