Bloomberg Law has recognized Haynes Boone’s demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) by naming the firm to its 2022 DEI Framework.
Haynes Boone is among 43 U.S.-based law firms recognized in the DEI Framework for their level of disclosure of diversity-related metrics and distinguished performance against six core pillars: demographics, leadership and talent pipeline, recruitment and retention, business innovation and strategy, marketing, and diversity and inclusion in the community.
“Excellence in DEI is a core value at Haynes Boone,” said Sharon Jones, Haynes Boone’s chief DEI officer. “Recognition such as Bloomberg Law’s 2022 DEI Framework designation helps build momentum to support recruitment and retention of the best cross-section of diverse talent.”
The DEI Framework was developed in 2021 in collaboration with Bloomberg’s Gender-Equality Index team, as well as diversity leads at corporations and law firms. Performance was assessed across more than 85 metrics, each associated with one of the framework’s six core pillars. The methodology and selection criteria are reviewed and updated annually to ensure alignment with industry trends, methodologies, and best practices.
Haynes Boone beat the industry average score in general firm demographics, leadership and talent pipeline, recruitment and retention, and marketing and DEI in the community.
“Through a demonstrated commitment to DEI, Haynes Boone is helping to move the legal industry forward, and we recognize their performance by naming them as a member of our 2022 DEI Framework,” said Joe Breda, president of Bloomberg Law.
