Haynes Boone Partner Arsalan Muhammad has been named to the 2023 class of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s prestigious 40 Under 40 Program.
ABI is the largest multi-disciplinary, nonpartisan organization dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency. ABI was founded in 1982 to provide Congress and the public with unbiased analysis of bankruptcy issues. The 40 Under 40 honorees are distinguished by their professional achievements and service and are selected by a group of experienced insolvency professionals.
The class was announced at the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ) Conference on Friday, Oct. 13, and will be recognized at the ABI’s 2023 Winter Leadership Conference in December in Arizona.
“We are ecstatic to see Arsalan recognized and included in the ABI’s competitive 40 Under 40 Program,” said Partner Frasher Murphy, chair of the Restructuring Practice Group. “Arsalan's reputation in the restructuring industry is earning deserved acknowledgment.”
Arsalan’s practice focuses on bankruptcy and restructurings, including related financings, acquisitions, and litigation. His experience includes the representation of Chapter 11 and 15 debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, as well as other parties-in-interest in a variety of business restructuring matters. Arsalan has also represented purchasers in acquiring assets and companies in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcies. He advises borrowers and lenders with respect to counterparty risks and out-of-court restructurings.
Arsalan worked on a team of attorneys in a transaction involving Landry’s, Inc. that was awarded the 2018 Global M&A Network Turnaround Atlas Award.
