After Rapid Growth, Haynes Boone Relocates Charlotte Office to New Space Downtown

April 01, 2024

Haynes Boone has relocated its Charlotte office to the Legacy Union SIX50 building at 650 S. Tryon St. This is the firm’s fourth office move since the fall.

Haynes Boone now occupies the entire seventh floor of the building with nearly 24,000 square feet of office space. The new space provides beautiful views of Charlotte’s South End and walking access to award-winning restaurants, hotels and entertainment.

The firm opened its Charlotte office with only three lawyers in 2019 as the 17th office at the firm. During the past five years, the office has grown to 22 attorneys that cover a wide range of financial practices. With that roster expansion, including the addition of six partners and six associates in 2023, Haynes Boone has quickly built one of the largest finance practices in the city. In addition, the firm was recently ranked as one of Charlotte’s largest law firms by the Charlotte Business Journal. It’s a great fit for the needs of clients in the greater Charlotte metropolitan area – one of the world’s foremost banking centers and financial hubs.

“We are thrilled to transition to this new space, where we can comfortably come together to work for and interact with our clients,” said Haynes Boone Charlotte Office Managing Partner Justin Riess. “The new space will contribute greatly to our collaborative culture and will help us continue to expand the firm’s flourishing presence in Charlotte.”

Haynes Boone’s move in Charlotte follows the firm’s relocations of its Dallas office last fall, Austin office in December and its Woodlands office in February. The previous year also included moves for the firm in Denver and Mexico City as well as expansion into Northern Virginia.
