2024 Fort Worth Top Attorneys Recognizes 8 Haynes Boone Lawyers

Eight Haynes Boone lawyers have been recognized in Fort Worth Magazine’s 2024 Top Attorneys list in the Greater Fort Worth area: Brian Barnard, Karen Denney, William Greenhill, Chris Knight, Karen Precella, Steve Pezanosky, Brian Singleterry and Thomas Williams.

This is the first year of recognition for Knight, who was named partner on Jan. 1, while the others have been listed multiple times. The annual listing is drawn from peer nominations and the recommendations of attorneys in the region.

For more than 35 years, Barnard has been providing legal advice and business counsel to senior management teams, boards of directors and in-house lawyers on general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, reporting requirements and corporate governance.

Denney, a partner in the Labor and Employment Practice Group certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, represents employers in employment litigation and arbitration matters involving a variety of claims, including those concerning age, sex, gender, race, national origin, disability and religion.

Greenhill has over 50 years of experience advising corporate decision-makers, in-house counsel and financial industry executives on structuring complicated corporate and financial transactions to promote their business objectives.

Knight has argued and briefed appeals dealing with a variety of cutting-edge legal issues—from the types of damages available in fraud cases, to the application of Texas’ anti-SLAPP statute, to whether sovereign immunity protects private entities.

As a dedicated appellate lawyer with over 30 years of experience, Precella has secured favorable rulings in all phases of trial and appellate proceedings—from pre-trial summary judgment to post-verdict motions for judgment notwithstanding the verdict to appeals at the intermediate and Supreme Court levels.

For three decades, Pezanosky has handled complex financial restructurings. He represents debtors, lenders, lender groups and other constituents in insolvency matters across the country, as well as buyers and sellers of distressed companies.

Singleterry is a trial lawyer with experience handling complex litigation in state, federal and bankruptcy courts, both in Texas and nationwide. His practice focuses on representing clients in commercial litigation, including breach-of-contract disputes, business torts and bankruptcy litigation.
