3 Haynes Boone Lawyers Recognized as 2021 IP Rising Stars

Managing Intellectual Property recognized Haynes Boone Partners Scott Jarratt and Robert LeBlanc and Counsel Jason Whitney as 2021 Rising Stars in intellectual property (IP).

The publication ranks lawyers and firms based on research and market and client feedback about a range of criteria, including practitioners’ depth of experience and track records of wins and losses.

IP STARS “Recognises some of the best up-and-coming intellectual property practitioners in private practice who contributed to the success of their firms and clients,” Managing IP said.

Here are Haynes Boone’s 2021 Rising Stars:

Scott Jarratt, a partner in Haynes Boone’s IP, patents, and technology practice groups, among others, helps clients both obtain and defend against technology-intensive patents. Drawing upon his industry experience, Scott serves as lead counsel in inter partes review proceedings and helps resolve patent disputes across numerous technological fields including wireless telecommunications and consumer electronics.

Robert LeBlanc, a partner in Haynes Boone’s trademark, copyright, and social media practice groups, counsels many of the world’s most valuable and famous companies on brand strategy and the protection of brand assets, including, brand creation, selection, protection, expansion, and enforcement. A large portion of Rob’s practice focuses on internet and social media issues.

Jason Whitney is a counsel in the Haynes Boone IP litigation practice group. He is an experienced litigator and registered patent attorney, counseling clients from small to large in obtaining, protecting, and enforcing IP rights. He has argued patent disputes before the International Trade Commission, defended clients in trademark and copyright lawsuits in various federal courts, and prosecuted patents and trademarks before the Patent and Trademark Office.
