Taylor Wilson in Law360 Pulse: Texas Law Firms Expect 2025 ‘Boom’ Amid Economic Growth

Texas law firms are predicting an uptick in work in 2025 due to regulation cuts and the start of the Texas business courts in 2024, including a new appellate court. Haynes Boone Managing Partner Taylor Wilson spoke to Law360 about the firm’s Texas Business Courts Task Force and what he expects from the coming year.

"The lawyers in our firm's Texas Business Courts task force are monitoring these developments closely and counseling clients on when, how and if to move their matters into these new courts," Taylor Wilson, managing partner of Haynes Boone, told Law360 Pulse.

"We expect this impact to expand in 2025, and our firm is uniquely situated to advise clients on these important developments," Wilson added. …

Wilson of Haynes Boone said his firm saw "strong demand in 2024 across our various litigation practices, including in focus areas like technology, energy, insurance coverage and appellate. We expect these demand levels to continue, and possibly grow, into 2025."

Wilson said growth in 2025 could be fueled by recent drops in interest rates, "and we expect to see rising demand levels in our corporate, finance and real estate practices in the coming year."
