Emmie Gooch
Biography
Emmie Gooch uses her love of research, writing, and analyzing complicated issues in order to bring clients results at all stages of litigation—whether through drafting dispositive motions, researching key issues for trial argument, or handling the details of discovery and document production. As a former medical and technical editor and elementary school teacher, her attention to detail and ability to distill the key takeaways for the judge or jury are two of her strengths.
Emmie’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on representation of clients in the oil and gas industries, including contractual disputes, business torts, and corporate trustee issues.
She has a passion for helping children in our community through volunteer efforts and pro bono legal work. One of her favorite pro bono cases was assisting a very bright Texas Children’s Hospital patient with attending mainstream kindergarten despite her physical disability. In addition, she is actively involved with Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance, which provides support to families affected by pediatric cancer.
