Amy Moss Wins Houston’s Stages Repertory Theater Theodore Award
HOUSTON – Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Amy Moss will receive Stages Repertory Theatre’s third annual Theodore Award for Leadership Excellence in recognition of her long-standing service to the theatre.
Stages Repertory Theatre is a not-for-profit theatre that produces new work, presents established work in new ways, and nurtures talent for the performing arts field. One of only two theatres in Houston that offer year-round employment for actors, designers and theatre technicians through professional unions, Stages brings a level of artistic excellence to Houston that raises the national profile of the whole community, improves the quality of life in the region, and offers residents and visitors thrilling live performances.
First as a board member, and then as board president and chairman of the board, Ms. Moss has worked over many years to match Stages’ artistic vision with resources and strategies for the theatre’s constant progress. She will be honored April 16 at the 2011 Stages Gala, the theatre’s largest annual fundraiser.
Ms. Moss is a partner in Haynes and Boone’s Corporate Practice Group with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Moss represents public and private companies in a broad spectrum of corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions and securities matters, including venture capital and private equity transactions. Her practice includes the representation of sellers and purchasers of business enterprises, as well as start-up entities and investor groups.
